Lens A072 is very unique among our portfolio of standard optics for many reasons - it is our largest lens, it is a sphere and it´s top and bottom surfaces are both polished. This is the reason why this lens is a lot more expensive compared to the rest of our portfolio. You can use it as a magnifier and benefit from it´s very long focal distance (over 20 cm). It can also be used in illumination applications.
